Day 1 - Arrival at PKNU 🛬
Our adventure kicked off on August 12, 2024! UniMAP students touched down in Busan and were greeted with open arms by Program Chair Prof. Chang and his team, including the ever-supportive Mrs. So Young. After settling into our rooms and getting a rundown of the exciting activities ahead, the energy was high, and everyone was beyond thrilled to begin this journey!

Day 2 - Exploring PKNU and Korean Culture! 🎶🌍
We started the day by grouping up with fellow international students, making new friends from across the globe, and setting off on a campus tour of PKNU. Later, we immersed ourselves in Korean culture with an energetic K-pop dance session. But the day didn’t end there! We capped it off with a mind-blowing seafood dinner with Malaysian students from PKNU, followed by a fun night out. The food and the vibes were absolutely unforgettable! 🍤🥳

Day 3 - Busan Museum of Movies and Language Learning Fun! 🎬📚
The adventure continued with a visit to the Busan Museum of Movies! Our Korean tutor guided us through the city by public bus, where we learned all about filmmaking and enjoyed interactive 3D AR exhibits. Afterward, we headed back for an engaging Korean language class packed with games and laughter. Learning has never been this fun! 🙌

Day 4 - Temple Serenity & Yacht Tour Excitement! 🛕⛵
What a day! We explored the breathtaking Haedong Yonggungsa Temple in the morning, with its peaceful atmosphere and stunning architecture. After a restful lunch, it was time for some luxury—a yacht tour at The Bay 101! With the skyline and Gwangandaegyo Bridge in view, we were left speechless by the beauty of Busan’s coast. Whether at sunset or in daylight, the views were extraordinary! 🌅💙

Day 5 - AI Seminars & Fun at Gwangalli Beach 🤖🌊
Time to dive into some cutting-edge tech! We kicked off the day with an AI seminar led by Dr. Ahmad Ashraf, followed by a deep learning session with Prof. Mi Gyung Cho from PKNU, where we explored image classification with TensorFlow and Keras. For those in the short program, the fun never stopped with an exploration of Gwangalli Beach and ice skating at Shinsegae Department Store. Beach, shopping, and skating—what’s not to love?! 🏖️⛸️

Day 6 - Nampo-dong Adventures & Gwangalli Beach Fun 🎡🎆
On Day 6, we took a well-deserved day off and explored Nampo-dong with our new Malaysian friends. From shopping for souvenirs to indulging in local street food and visiting the iconic Jagalchi Market, we soaked up all the sights! In the evening, we headed to Gwangalli Beach for a dazzling drone show—it was the perfect way to end the day. 🤩

Day 7 - Gamcheon Culture Village 🎨📸
Gamcheon Culture Village was the highlight of Day 7! This artistic village, filled with vibrant murals and sculptures, offered incredible photo opportunities. We spent the day wandering through its colorful alleys, admiring the artwork, and picking up unique souvenirs. It was a picture-perfect day! 📷🎨

Day 8 - Final Korean Language Class & AI Model Training 🎤💻
Our final Korean language class was a blast, filled with singing games and friendly competition (UniMAP won!). Meanwhile, for those in the summer program, it was time to train AI models using Keras and Google Colab. The energy was high as we tested different models, tweaked parameters, and aimed for the best performance! It was a rewarding and productive day! 🏆🤓

Day 9 - Taekwondo & Museum Day 🥋🏛️
We switched things up with a Taekwondo class taught by a black belt master! Decked out in doboks, we learned basic techniques like front kicks and blocks. Afterward, we headed to the Busan Museum to explore fascinating historical artifacts. It was a mix of physical and mental enrichment! 🥋👊

Day 10 - Gyeongju World Amusement Park 🎢🎮
Thrill-seekers, unite! We spent the day at Gyeongju World Amusement Park, taking on roller coasters, arcade games, and bumper cars! But it wasn’t all play—Miss Soyoung and Prof. Chang gave us a fun group mission to complete before lunch, adding some friendly competition to the mix. What a way to end the trip! 🎉🎢

Day 11 - Cultural Exploration & Shopping 🕌🛍️
Our second-to-last day was spent exploring Busan’s cultural gems, including the Al Fatah Mosque and Busan Tower. Others enjoyed some last-minute shopping at local stores. We wrapped up the day with smiles, memories, and plenty of photos! 📸🕌

Day 12 - Farewell, Busan! ✈️💔
Our journey came to a bittersweet end as we checked out of PKNU and headed to the airport. After heartfelt goodbyes, we flew back home with unforgettable memories and lifelong friendships. We left a piece of our hearts in Korea, but we’re ready for the next chapter! 💙✈️
